We travelled this morning shortly after 4am on an hour long journey to the top of the large volcano on Maui (called Haleakala). Afther the long twisting road we arrived in the early dawn light on top...looking down the crater over the sea. You could see several islands around Maui and then on cue, the sun appeared out of a sea of cloud. There was a cold breeze blowing but the beauty created a warmth in my heart. It was a wonderful moment. The children were real troopers climbing to the top just in time for the show. I am so glad we did this. I am tired...but glad. I will try and upload some photos tomorrow of our time at the top of Maui. Hope life is shining beautifully on you wherever you are. And it was so fun to talk to the ranger in the shop at 10,000 feet who knew Rev. Heather. Small world to be sure. Hope she comes to St. Johns next Sunday. Aloha to all. Kris+
